IntroductionThe Chinese Golden Bell Awards for Music is a comprehensive music competition and a national top-level music event in China. The Chinese Small Golden Bell (CSGB) is one of the sub-events of the China Golden Bell Award for Music. Hosted by Guangdong Radio and Television Station, the Chinese Division is organized by Guangdong Nanxing Art Performance Cultural Media Co., Ltd., and Mega Global Marketing Inc. is the organiser to the Canadian Division. the CSGB Music Contest will not only cultivate music talents, but also serve as a platform for musical children to share and exchange mutually.
The Chinese Children's Golden Bell Music Contest has vocal and musical instrument competitions. Besides these, it has a series of events and activities like the CSGB dance, CSGB host, CSGB image ambassador, CSGB global travel for music, CSGB child star charity performance, CSGB award ceremony for charity microfilms, etc.
As the first overseas contest of CSGB’s event, the Canada Division is a music platform that integrates multiculturalism and inter-ethnic exchanges. A fund-raising Canada final for Canada liver foundation will be made simultaneously. In Canada Division, in addition to Chinese players, outstanding young players of various nationalities who live in Canada are invited to participate in the contest. This will serve as promotion for cultural exchange and art development between China and Canada. The winners of Canadian Division in each category will travel to China to participate in the final.

(1) Registration deadline for Canada Division: April 15, 2023
(2) Audition in Canada for Vocal Music, Instrument Music, and Dance: April 22, 2023 (Venue: Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, Richmond)
(3) Semi-final in Canada for Vocal Music, Instrument Music, and Dance: May 6, 2023 (Venue: The Gateway Theatre, Richmond)
(4) Final in Canada: June 3, 2023 (Venue: The Gateway Theatre, Richmond)
(5) Global Final and Awards Ceremony:August 17-22, 2023 (Venue: Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre, Guangzhou, China)
(1) "Top Ten Players" from each Vocal Music/Instrument Music group will be presented with Certificates.
(2) "Future Star Award" from each Dance group will be presented with Certificates.

* Winner will be given the opportunity to compete at the Global finals in Guangzhou, China.
(4) Part of the instructors or music instructions will be eligible for the "Music Education Achievement Award".
(5) Winners may be nominated or invited to participate in performances or other related activities in
China/Canada.
● In order to conduct the assessment fairly and impartially, students of all judges are not allowed to participate.
(1) Vocal performance
Each contestant sings one (1) song of their choice not exceeding three and half (3.5) minutes in length.
(Maximum points: 10)
• Vocalism (7 points)
Pitch: ability to sing on pitch accurately and with clear articulation
Rhythm: ability to maintain accurate rhythm of the song
Tone: ability to sing with intonation and with good tone quality.
• Stage presence and showmanship (3 points)
Good stage presence and charm; good understanding of the song;
Good breath control; natural and poised; correctly expressing the tone of the song;
A wholesome and positive presentation. Costume, adornment and props are in line with the subject of the song.
(2) Musical Instrument performance Each contestant plays one (1) piece of music of their choice not exceeding three and half (3.5) minutes in length. (Maximum points: 10)
• Musical skill (7 points)
Timbre, tone, acoustics, rhythm, downbeats and upbeats, techniques, posture, showmanship, appropriate and accurate methods, technical proficiency.
• Stage presence and showmanship (3 points)
Able to give natural performance with poise and grandeur conveying the meaning of the piece.
Music style, emotional expression, music arrangement, costume, makeup, and props are in line with the subject of the music.
(3) Dance performance Each contestant plays one (1) piece of music of their choice not exceeding three and half (3.5) minutes in length. (Maximum points: 100)
• Stage presence (30 points)
Good stage presence and charm; good understanding of the song; Costume, adornment and props are in line with the subject of the song.
• Rhythm (40 points)
Ability to maintain accurate rhythm of the song
• Style (30 points)
Good breath control; natural and poised; correctly expressing the tone of the song; a wholesome and positive presentation.
